Kern Valley Healthcare District is proud to be a Blue Cross, Blue Shield, FMC, PacifiCare, Cigna, Aetna, Secure Horizons, and United Healthcare contracted provider.  Kern Valley Healthcare District is a participant in Medicare, CHAMPUS, Medi-Cal, and Charity Care,        F-PACT, BCEDP (Breast Cancer Early Detection Program), and Healthy Families governmental programs.  We also have contracts with Gemcare, IMG and BFMC.

Kern Valley Healthcare District will bill your insurance as a courtesy to you if we are provided with complete and accurate information, regardless of the total charge amount.  We are unable to bill travel insurance without proper authorization.

As a reminder, we bill for Kern Valley Healthcare District and the Rural Health Clinic, as well as some physician services, anesthesia, and other hospital based services.  Outside services such as independent physicians, CARE Ambulance, pathologist, radiologist, and outside reference laboratories will bill you separately for their services.
