Timothy McGlewChief Executive Officer
Tim McGlew has over 31 years of executive management experience in hospitals, ranging from 99 beds to over 1,000 beds. He has spent the last nine years at KVHD actively working on rural health issues, in particular, the development of telehealth services to expand specialty physician coverage, and the protection of Critical Access Hospital and district hospital reimbursements. He also has over 8 years’ experience in hospital information services. He serves on the Board of Kern Health Systems (Kern County’s MediCal Managed Care Health Plan). He also serves on the California Critical Care Access Hospital Network, chairing this group for the last three years. He represents the interests of California’s rural hospitals and health providers by serving on the California Hospital Association’s Rural Healthcare Advisory Board, as well as other agencies serving rural health.
Chester BeedleChief Financial Officer
Chet Beedle for the last 17 ½ years has been functioning as the Kern Valley Healthcare District Chief Financial Officer. This was first as a consultant and then, effective in 2003, as an employee. Chet has seen the District grow from gross revenues of $36 million to now over $110 million per fiscal year.
While at KVHD, Chet focused on the facility and critical-access hospitals. However, he was on the Board of the captive worker’s compensation insurance company, Alpha Fund, for five years. Chets wife is a retired labor & delivery nurse and although he is over the normal retirement age, he continues to love his work as long as he can take at least one annual two-week plus cruise to somewhere in the world.
Mark GordonChief Nursing Officer
Marks career path is a little different than most. He started in the medical field as a medic in the U.S. Army. Having spent 12 years on active duty from 1980-1992, he traveled all over the world and worked his way through the ranks attending various college level programs while on active duty. He was honorably discharged from the Army in 1992 as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
The California Board of Registered Nursing offers a chance for honorably discharged, practical nurse veterans to challenge and obtain their RN license. He accepted this challenge and was awarded his RN in July of 1997. Mark has held numerous positions at our Critical Access Hospital. His clinical experience includes certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS and TNCC with practical experience in ICU, ER, Med/Surg and Recovery Room. Educational positions include Director of Staff Development, Infection Control Nurse and various nursing supervisor roles when he applied and was selected as the CNO.

Greg DavisRural Health Clinic Manager
Gregory Davis is the manager of Mountain View Health Center. He has been a full time primary care Physician Assistant since 1994 and has served the district since 1998. Greg is currently the only provider in the area certified to perform DOT physicals for commercial vehicle drivers. Mr. Davis also manages employee health functions for the district.
Mr. Davis graduated from Western University of Health Sciences in 1998. He has worked in Primary Care/Family Practice, Dermatology, Urgent Care and Emergency Medicine. Greg is involved with youth athletics in the valley and served on the Kernville Union School District board from 2010 to 2018.
