He was honorably discharged from the Army in 1992 as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.

The California Board of Registered Nursing offers a chance for honorably discharged, practical nurse veterans to challenge and obtain their RN license. He accepted this challenge and was awarded his RN in July of 1997. Mark has held numerous positions at our Critical Access Hospital. His clinical experience includes certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS and TNCC with practical experience in ICU, ER, Med/Surg and Recovery Room.
