Patient Financial Services
Patient account representatives are the primary source of information for patients who call with questions about a bill. They answer questions, resolve problems, and assist patients with repayment terms. They are also responsible for contacting patients who are delinquent in payment. Additionally, they may contact insurance companies regarding claims, update account information, and provide basic administrative tasks on accounts.
High school graduate or equivalent with experience in healthcare billing and collections preferred. Bills medical claims and correctly applies payments to patient accounts. Must have excellent customer service skills and ability to effectively communicate in English; both verbal and written. Frequently fast paced environment requires ability to handle stress and interface professionally, tactfully and respectfully with patients, general public and staff. Good computer skills, including Word and Excel programs.
