Responsible for performing resident skin assessments, obtaining treatment orders, administering treatments as ordered, and documenting appropriately to help ensure that resident skin integrity is improved and/or maintained.
Current California RN license with minimum one (1) year prior experience in a long-term care facility and operating knowledge of Electronic Medical Records preferred. Must obtain Certification in Wound Care within 6-months of hire. Must have working knowledge of Title 22, OBRA and other regulations. Must pass nursing medical test and have current BLS certification. Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the nursing care of residents within the skilled nursing and acute care settings. Responsible for ensuring continuity of care by providing direct care as well as supervising the care given by CNAs, LVNs, RNs and support staff members. Must be able to effectively communicate in English; both verbal and written. Must have good interpersonal skills and interface professionally, tactfully and respectfully with patients, staff, general public and governmental agency reps. Basic computer skills required.
