Pharmacist In ChargeMesa Clinical Pharmacy
This is a working manager position and performs all duties required by law in the dispensing of prescriptions and must be familiar with unit dose. Must be familiar with all pharmacy guidelines and regulations and have a working knowledge of third party payors. Assists in budgeting and cost containment for the department and is expected to participate in the development and revision of policies and procedures
Must have current California Pharmacy License, BS in Pharmacy, Pharm D, with minimum two years’ experience managing retail pharmacy, with Long Term Care pharmacy experience preferred. Must be willing to accept Pharmacist In Charge (PIC) responsibilities, including planning, organizing and directly supervising all activities of the retail pharmacy according to applicable policies and procedure, established standards of practice for the profession and State and Federal law. Must be able to read, write and understand English. In an often high-stress environment, must always interface professionally, tactfully and respectfully with patients, staff, general public and governmental agency representatives. Mid-level computer skills required.
