Human Resources ManagerKern Valley Hospital
Directs and supervises Human Resources staff. Responsible for overseeing all human resources issues including staffing, staff relations, orientation and development, compensation and benefits plans, workers’compensation, policy development, recruiting, etc. Develops and recommends human resources practices and procedures that assist in the growth of the District. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Actively participates in multiple hospital committees.
BS Degree in Human Resources preferred. Human Resources Manager experience in a hospital setting preferred; or 3 or more years as a Human Resources Generalist in a hospital setting. Knowledge of relevant federal, state and local registration relating to Human Resources, i.e. Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Affirmative Action, ADA, FMLA, etc. Must be able to effectively communicate in English; both verbal and written. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and interface professionally, tactfully and respectfully with staff, general public and governmental agencies. Good computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word and EXCEL spreadsheet programs required.
