Job Title: Pharmacy Clerk     

Status: Part-time

Qualifications:  High School graduate or equivalent required, with one-year retail pharmacy experience preferred. 

Responsible for processing prescriptions, billing/insurance verifications, record keeping, resolving insurance related issues. Participates in insurance billing for the Skilled Nursing facility prescription and over-the-counter products as needed.  Also assists retail pharmacy customers, answers phones and supports pharmacy staff. Responsible for handling money transactions, completing balance sheets and operating cash register. Helps monitor over-the-counter inventory and keep products stocked. Must have ability to coordinate simultaneous work activities with accuracy in a fast-paced environment.  Other responsibilities include cleaning work areas, running errands and cleaning equipment as needed. Must be able to effectively communicate in English; both verbal and written.  Must have excellent interpersonal skills and interface professionally, tactfully and respectfully with customers and staff.  Basic computer skills and strong typing skills required.
