Radiology Services

Radiology Services We Provide.

CT Scan (Computed Tomography) also known as Cat Scan

With our GE Optima 64 slice CT scanner, scans are acquired within seconds providing our outpatients, inpatients and emergency patients with a quick and comfortable experience. A CT scan can be used to study many parts of the body, such as the chest, abdomen, pelvis and extremities. It can also acquire images of internal organs that would otherwise be too hard to see, such as brain, sinuses, liver, pancreas, intestines, kidneys, adrenal glands, lungs, heart and blood vessels. CT is also used to scan prior to surgery.

Digital Imaging Units

Our in-suite and portable GE diagnostic x-ray units are filmless and digital, providing clear images within seconds. Images are then kept for viewing on our Picture Archiving Communications System (PACS). If needed, X-rays can easily and conveniently be burned on a CD for patients to take to their ordering physician for their next doctor appointment.

Ultrasounds

KVHD offers a wide range of ultrasound services using our GE Logiq S8 unit with color flow and Doppler technology. Some of the services we can provide include abdominal, venous and arterial, thyroid, pelvic and obstetrical exams. We also can perform some ultrasound guided procedures such as para- and thoracentesis and line placements.
