Human Resources

The Human Resources Department provides support services for KVHD employees, including administration of compensation and benefits.  Applications for employment are submitted through this department. The Human Resources office is located at 12308 ‘B’ Mt. Mesa Road in Mt. As a non-profit healthcare facility, we serve as a resource to all of the Kern River Valley.  Kern Valley Healthcare District is located one hour east of  Bakersfield and one hour west of Ridgecrest.  We offer competitive starting salaries and merit increases based on a pay-for-performance system.  Health, dental, life, vision and pharmacy is offered to employees for a nominal fee with 2 to 4 weeks of vacation (depending on status and length of service), sick time, 8 recognized holidays, as well as a tax deferred retirement plan.  Extensive in-house continuing education is available through State Board approved CEU programs.  

Our hospital consists of 22 bed acute care with a 3-bed ICU.  Adjacent is the 74-bed Skilled Nursing Facility.
