Isabella, California, April 3, 2020 – Effective immediately, Kern Valley
Hospital has initiated additional measures to protect our patients, residents,
staff and physicians. Please be advised, in response to the COVID-19 outbreak
the hospital will be locking all doors with the exception of the Emergency Room
entrance. Anyone coming to our facility, including outpatient services will
need to enter through the yellow tent by the emergency room to have a
temperature screening. Once there, you will receive further instructions. We
understand these are difficult times and your understanding and cooperation are
appreciated. Our desire is to maintain a safe environment for our patients,
residents, staff and physicians.
Principle Symptoms of COVID-19 are:
- Fever
- Cough
- Shortness of
Breath
The best protection against COVID-19 and the flu are:
- Avoid close
contact with people
- Avoid touching your
eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands
- Use tissues to
catch coughs and sneeze, then put them in the trash and wash your hands
- Wash your hands often with soap and water for a minimum of 20 seconds
