We will continue testing every Wednesday through March 31, from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm. At the end of March, we will be reevaluating if we will continue past March 31. If there is a long line, remember we cut off at 1:30 to make the deadline for the day. That means you must be in line by 1:30. The test site is now located at 4308 Birch, Mountain Mesa. We will have signage out by the street. The easiest way to enter would be McCray Rd., to Dogwood – make a left and another left onto Birch. The building is next door to Mountain View Health Center.  ,

No appointments will be necessary. This is a drive-thru testing site and you will stay in your car and wait for staff to direct you to pull up. We ask that you put your car in park once you are in position for testing. Please inform our staff if you are experiencing symptoms.

We want to remind you this test is at “no cost” to our community and we encourage those who wish to test to take advantage of this opportunity. For those who were exposed, but are experiencing no symptoms, please use the community-testing site and not the ER. Our community-testing site is free.

We have begun offering the vaccine to anyone who qualifies for Phase 1a – tiers 1, 2 and 3, as well as, those who are 65 years old and up. As the county releases the remaining tiers, we will update the community. We will require those wishing to vaccinate to make an appointment once the county announces your tier. Please do not call Mountain View Health Care or Kern Valley Hospital. We have a dedicated number to handle appointments for the vaccination (442) 320-3048.

We ask you have patience, as there is a limited supply of vaccine currently available. You only need to leave one message with your name and a good contact phone number. As vaccines become available, we will make phone calls to schedule your appointment.

We remind everyone to continue washing your hands often, avoid touching your face, practice social distancing and wear a face- mask.
