Press Release
For Immediate Release
Lake
Isabella, California March 26, 2021 – Beginning Wednesday, April
7, Kern Valley Hospital will continue
offering COVID-19 testing every Wednesday through the month of June. Based on
community demand, the hours available at our community testing site will be
changed from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm to 7:00
am to noon.
Please keep in mind, if we have an unusual weather event such
as high winds, rain, etc. we may elect to close down the testing site for the
safety of our employees. If we see a surge in COVID-19 positivity rates going
up in our community we can increase our hours and add an additional day of
testing if necessary.
Our test site will remain at 4308 Birch, Mountain Mesa. We will have
signage out by the street. No appointments will be necessary. This is a
drive-thru testing site so you will stay in your car and wait for staff to
direct you to pull up. We ask that you put your car in park once you are in
position for testing. Please inform our staff if you are experiencing symptoms.
We
want to remind you this test is at “no
cost” to our community and we encourage those who wish to be tested to take
advantage of this opportunity. For those who were exposed, but are experiencing
no symptoms, please use the community-testing site and not the ER. Our
community-testing site is free.
To keep yourself, loved ones and friends safe we ask
that you continue to wear a facemask in public, practice social distancing, wash
your hands often and avoid touching your face.
