Job Description

Appraises the District’s financial position and issues periodic financial and operating reports. Analyzes, consolidates and directs all cost accounting procedures together with other statistical and routine reports. Directs and analyzes studies of general economic, business and financial conditions and their impact on the District’s policies and operations. Managerially oversees the additional functions of Admitting, Materials Management, Health Information Management, Environmental Services, and Nutrition Services.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Directs the District’s financial planning and accounting practices as well as its relationship with lending institutions, shareholders and the financial community.
  • Oversees and directs treasury, budgeting, audit, tax, accounting, purchasing, real estate and insurance activities for the Distirct.
  • Directs the Controller in providing and directing procedures and systems necessary to maintain proper records and to afford adequate accounting controls and services.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • Requires three to five (3-5) years of prior management experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of accounting, finance, reimbursement, budgeting, credit and collection as relates to healthcare.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in English; both verbal and written.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and interface professionally, tactfully and respectfully with staff, general public and governmental agencies.
  • Good computer skills with strong knowledge of EXCEL spreadsheet programs required.
