Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent with California Phlebotomist certification required. Certified Phlebotomy Tech II license required within one year of employment. Performs venipunctures and skin punctures competently and expediently. Performs arterial punctures when properly licensed. Documents specimen collection and tests ordered in the LIS. Has thorough knowledge of test requirements. Processes specimens for in-house and send-out testing. Assists manager and clinical scientists in Laboratory as needed. Helps ensure an orderly and sanitary environment in the laboratory. Must be able to effectively communicate in English, both verbal and written. Must have good interpersonal skills and interface professionally and tactfully with patients, staff and the general public. Basic computer skills required.
