Realtors pitch in to make KVHD’s ‘Santa to a Senior’ a hit

The Kern Valley Health District (KVHD) Skilled Nursing Facility would like to thank those from the Ridgecrest Area Association of Realtors and Rita D’Angelo Real Estate for their hard work and dedication to making our residents’ Christmas extra special this year.

This is the second year the “Santa to a Senior” program has been offered to our residents, and it has been a wonderful experience and a huge success.

Each year, a beautiful Christmas tree has been set up in Rita D’Angelo’s office in Kernville, sponsored by the Ridgecrest Area Association of Realtors. This special tree is for the realtor members’ community to choose a resident to buy for. A “wish list” is provided for each resident to help the person buy for whom they chose.

Unfortunately, many residents in our facility no longer have family members during the holidays and may feel lonely or forgotten. The “Santa to a Senior” program shows them that there are people who care.

Many truly caring and compassionate people in the Kern River Valley and Ridgecrest area participate in this heartwarming program. We at KVHD want everyone to know that their gift of giving is appreciated and makes a difference in many lives.
